495 Days...      Deb Singer

Deb Singer here: world traveler, past corporate administrator & high school educator now a lady of leisure living in north central Florida. Oh, ex-Democrat and budding conservative grassroots activist.

Back in 2007, Hillary Clinton talked about government confiscating profits from "greedy" oil companies.  Maxine Waters later threatened to socialize them. From their early statements, I recognized that the Democrat party had shifted to Progressive Marxist-based values.

Then in 2008, Sarah Palin, in a speech on energy, made it clear to me that seven presidents and 20 Congresses had failed to achieve a comprehensive energy program that would lead to energy independence.  Her suggestion that oil companies should compete to invest in new means of delivering their product to market made a whole lot more sense than turning their direction over to the government.

If there's one thing that will bring this beautiful, blessed, exceptional country back to prosperity and security, it's energy independence. I trust Sarah Palin's expertise, leadership qualities, and determination to get us there.

Now, about that 'budding conservative grassroots activist" statement above...

Watching the Democrats, sycophant media, and the GOP participate in or stand idly by as Palin and her children were victims of a wilding no less vicious than gang rape in slow motion has angered and disgusted me as a fellow human being.  No wonder the spouses of other potential presidential aspirants said 'no way.'

By their treatment of Palin, the left has shown us in vivid Technicolor the evil means they will use to bring this country to the ends of tyranny.  But by God's grace, Sarah Palin has withstood their hatred and emerged stronger, wiser, battle-tested and capable of taking on the fight for the soul of America.

My boots are old and worn but they can be filled with new energy should Sarah choose to run.  Run, Sarah, run!

496 Days. Patti Hutchens + Valerie Martinez

I'm Patti Hutchens, age 57, the smaller shoes belong to my granddaughter, Valerie Martinez age 4, she is my world & the result of my daughter's teen pregnancy. We live in Los Angeles. We are a family of mostly women, working hard, trying to make our way. I am a former life long Dem & recovering liberal, conservatism is new to me & it is Sarah Palin's natural common sense that got my attention along with her incredible strength and self assurance. The future of America belongs to my daughters and their offspring. I want to leave them a country that is economically strong & safe. I want them to always be free & have the chance to fulfill their dreams. I believe Sarah Palin is the only one to set America back on the right track and be a role model for my Valerie throughout her childhood. Sarah Palin's strength inspires me to try every day to be a better woman, to keep going no matter how hard life appears to be. She is my candidate for 2012, my President.

497 Days...  Elizabeth Hawkes

My name is Elizabeth Hawkes and I am a forty-nine year old retired civil engineer and married, born again, Christian woman. I presently reside in Port Saint Lucie, Florida with my handsome husband, Gregory. Sarah Palin has stolen my patriotic heart because we both share a love for country and downhome American values and I am pleased to write this essay as a tribute to the next and first female American president.

Sarah Palin was thrust onto the world's stage as America's foremost political newcomer in 2008 and despite an ever present glaring spotlight seemingly cutting to the marrow for both her public persona and private affairs, I was drawn to her by simply listening to the truth her words conveyed. She spoke of reducing the size of government, the pride in her country and of fidelity to America's continued fight for freedom and liberty. Now, more than two years later, Sarah Palin continues the fight by speaking out against government mandated health care, abortion on demand, gun control that would strip us of our Second Amendment Bill of Rights, and out of control spending in Washington. For me, Sarah Palin embodies strength of character, grace under pressure and dignity that has elevated her above her accusers; only tarnishing themselves in their relentless attempts to malign her professional record and personal integrity. Despite what some in the main stream media would have us believe, Sarah Palin is a Godly, honest woman only interested in reducing Big Government and restoring our country to the principles on which our great nation was founded.

I believe Sarah Palin should run for President of the United States because she is the only real candidate that both the Tea Party and independent conservative patriots can wholeheartedly support for the 2012 election thus avoiding the uncomfortable and unjustly compromising position of having to support, without recourse, a second choice and less viable GOP establishment liberal. Sarah Palin possesses not only experience and an untarnished background but, as a legislator, has earned the trust of her constituents in Alaska and all constitutional social conservatives across our great land. Sarah Palin is truly the people's choice and the only candidate who possesses the qualifications and knowledge to beat an incumbent democrat president.

God bless Sarah Palin & The United States Of America.

498 Days... Madeleine McAulay

Madeleine McAulay - 15 Years Old
From Huntersville, North Carolina
Youth for Palin Co-Founder
Dedicated Palin Supporter
Straight A High School Student
September 3, 2008. That was the day. That day was the day that changed my life. 12 years old, a young mind, and a heart wide open, I sat and I watched the Vice Presidential hopeful, Sarah Palin give a compelling, heartfelt, and passionate speech. As I watched my heart, spirit, and soul were completely engulfed. I had never experienced anything like it. Typically a 12 year old would not be compelled to watch an hour long speech, I was no different, but this woman, this mom, she was unlike anyone I had ever encountered before, I sat and I watched the entirety of the speech holding on to every word the Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin said.

Why Sarah Palin? Why not Sarah Palin? Sarah Palin is not just your everyday politician. She is a wife, a mom. She is a mother who got involved in her local community because she saw corruption. She saw dirty crooked politicians and she was determined to change it. She did not want to change it for selfish gain. She wanted to change it for the sake of her Children, her children’s futures. Starting with the School Board, to Mayor, to Governor, to Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin busted through doors as a storm. She was a whirlwind of passion, dedication, and love for her God, her Family, and her Country. What is next in store for Sarah Palin? Can you say, "Madame President"?
“The Boots were made for Walking and that’s just what they will do, Obama, in 2012 Sarah Palin is going to walk ALL over you!” (I thought it was fitting)
In one ear I have the Palin haters telling me she won’t run and that she is unelectable. But then I have the FACTS coming in the other. The facts that tell me Sarah Palin is a True American; she is an American willing to do anything in sacrifice for our Great Country. She is a Mama Grizzly ready to attack when someone tries to ruin the Fundamental Values of our country, which is exactly what is going on. She is the only Republican Candidate willing to do what is right no matter the party affiliation. She is the only Republican Candidate willing to challenge the Current Administration without fear of being criticized by the Lame Stream Media. She is the only Republican Candidate willing to take on the GOP when she sees corruption. Quite frankly she is the only Republican Candidate I trust, she is the only one willing to get her hands dirty, for the mission of saving our country and restoring it to its former greatness.
Sarah Palin is the change I can believe in, the leader I can believe in. And I am 100% positive she can conquer and defeat the Current Administration in 2012.

499 Days... Austin Harris

Austin Harris 15. Moulton, Iowa
My name is Austin Harris, I am a 15 year old high school student and live in a nostalgic middle American town of 600 in Southern Iowa. It was the recent turbulent 2008 elections that sparked my deep interest in politics but, I must admit, that my support of another candidate led me to lose interest in the election soon after John McCain secured the nomination. I remained disinterested in politics until Governor Sarah Palin was announced as the vice presidential nominee.

I remember the day well. It was Friday, August 29 and it began like any ordinary school day but, to my astonishment, soon proved otherwise. I was sitting in my 7th grade history class when my very liberal teacher turned from his computer and the USA Today website and announced that the first woman had been nominated for Vice President in the Republican Party. I didn't know what this meant or how important it was but later that day, I went home and watched Fox News broadcast Governor Palin saying, “I will be honored to serve next to the next president of the United States” to an enthusiastic and high energy crowd. I was so surprised by what I saw that I immediately googled Sarah Palin and discovered that she had an extraordinary record as Governor of Alaska and I must say I was impressed.

Even though Sarah Palin only served two of her years as Governor, she accomplished so much and that is why I support her. She dismantled the corruption in both the Democrat and Republican Parties and even turned in her own chairman of the Republican Party. During her first year as Governor, she reduced spending by 85% in her state budget and forced the oil companies to start drilling in Northern Alaska. She was also instrumental in the manufacture of an oil pipe that would go through Canada and into the Midwest, an achievement that no other governor has matched. While in office, Governor Sarah Palin drove herself to work, got rid of the Governor’s Mansion chef and the fancy private jet and, opted instead, to live in a nice 2-story house by a lake with neighbors even though she could be living in an extravagant home.

The reason why I support Sarah Palin so much is because she is so selfless. It is just not politics; it is a personal bond that people have with her. When she gave up her Governor's position so that the people of Alaska didn’t have to pay for her to fight the lawsuits that was when I knew she had a character that most politicians don’t have. I watched her electrifying speech at the 2008 RNC Convention. During that speech I knew that my calling had to be something in politics. She inspired me to be involved in politics and I have made great accomplishment so far in life. I am one of the administrators of Youth for Palin Facebook and website and I am the Iowa Youth for Palin Coordinator. I am also involved in my county’s central committee meetings. I hope someday to be working in politics and when I am I can say, “Thank you Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.”

500 Days... Lori Brenneman

My Sarah story:
My name is Lori Brenneman, age...well, I'd prefer not to say hehe :).  I live in Western New York.  My occupation is artist.  Sarah Palin came into my life on a sunny spring morning in 2008.  I was sitting at my computer, reading online newspapers and preparing for my day.  An article captured my attention.  The Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, and her husband, Todd, had just welcomed a beautiful new baby boy into their family.  There was a photo of Gov. Palin in her office, cradling Trig in her arms, only days after his birth.  The article related that he had been born with Down Syndrome.  Immediately, Gov. Palin's strength and courage washed over me like a wave.  Previously, I had known of her election as Alaska's Governor and also of a number of her triumphs in that office.  As a Mama Grizzly myself, though, her experience with Trig moved me.  It connected me to Gov. Palin as a person.  From that day on, as I learned more about her, her achievements, her background, and her family, I sensed that the world was going to hear much more from and about Sarah Palin.  My support did not wane when the election of 2008 was lost.  Instead, I saw it as a stepping stone on the path to greater things.  Since then, as I have watched Gov. Palin bravely and tenaciously fight for our country, my resolve to support this extraordinary human being has grown tremendously.  Each day of this journey is more exciting than the one before.  I am aboard the Bus to 2012, seated right behind our driver, and incredibly jazzed to be a part of the fundamental restoration of our nation!
